I, Heronima Valledor, am a digital photographer born and raised in Queens, New York. I attended Fiorello Laguardia High School as a fine arts major. I joined the photography class there, in which I worked with both analog and digital cameras. I was enrolled in the International Center of Photography’s one-year program from 2023 to 2024 as an Imagemaker, working towards developing a portfolio and professional network. Since then, I’ve been hired by artists and event hosts to do things from documenting big crowds & performing artists, to concepting album covers & promotional photos, and even getting commissioned for personal editorial photoshoots. I typically work in editorial, fashion, and documentary portraiture, exploring themes of femininity, friendship, and identity. I hope to continue with this art form and learn more about the world of photography in the context of communications and public relations here at the University of Oregon. I wish to take all I’ve learned from my experience in the arts and use it to explore different career paths and ultimately find something of interest that ties it all together.
